HLTH 325 -- Alcohol Studies (3) An examination of the physical, psychological, and sociological implications of alcohol use and abuse. A primary focus is on confronting our own as well as others attitudes and beliefs about alcohol use. Additional emphasis is placed on theories of causation, awareness of values, and conflicting value systems relating to prevention and the importance of developing an understanding of the role of alcohol use in western society.
