SPED 648 -- Strategies of Early Childhood Special Education (3) Identifies the learning and behavioral needs of preschool children with disabilities; considers the philosophical issues involved in providing services in the least restrictive environment; develops competencies in working with multi-disciplinary teams to develop Individual Family Service Plans; discusses the selection, development, and implementation of teaching strategies for use with pre-school children with disabilities; discusses procedures for monitoring student progress and communicating that progress to parents. Prerequisites: SPED 601, 609, 637, 640 and 650. Corequisite: SPED 649. Spring.
